Any one know where the last name sweat comes from

where did my last name come from it is sweat and im from summerville south carolina.

Last names came into play long ago    People had first names only for a long time. They might be just sitting around talking and they would  be referring to the black smith and would say that's the smithy or like the baker would would be call the baker when the child was referred to it would oh that's the bakers son thus last name  began to use.
