  1. Hello,

How could a plea for help not be answered for such a nice young lady, well here you are then, Sligo is a very cramped but quite beautiful place to visit, and if you like W.B.Yeats writings, you might remember to place a nice little simple posy on his resting place in Sligo, cotel cosats would hover around the 75 euro's area, and although it isn't cheap, you should get a great service for that amount of cash.

Tourism, anywhere in Ireland is also going to cost a fair bit of your disposable spending money too, so you will need a lot of it, but don't worry yet! think of Galway, much more to see and do, and B+B is a bit more reasonable as well. the available fun in Galway and this general area  is definitely a better option for you, and if I were you would certainly consider it before anywhere else in the country. if you find yourself hitching a lift out to Clifden via Connemara youy are going to find yourself right out at the far west of County Galway, and that vast expanse of water you will see there is called the Atlantic Ocean, and is a great place for more fun at an even cheaper rate, so I would consider that too, as another option, and of course with a little searching on discover ireland .com you are going to find out much more, and it's all there for you to read, with the options to even book your holiday, so good luck, and I hope tghis Irishman has helped you in your query about holidays in my country, so enjoy it all, and come see us all soon, we love strangers, because you are friends we never knew we had... Bye Tony M

  2. www.discoverireland.com

  3. Sligo a kip, go to galway or donegal, far nicer.

  4. Sligo is absolutely beautiful. It is Yeats country and inspired his best poetry. Make sure to see the Isle of Innisfree. You should be able to obtain a room in a reasonable hotel for $80 - go on the web for details.

  5. When I saw your question I looked at some notes I made when we visited Ireland and what I wrote was Sligo is just a dirty town and I wouldn't bother going there again because there are so many beautiful places to visit while you are there and there is no way that you can see it all in one visit. I been there twice and still want to go back to see more and a few places again but not Sligo. I actually met people from there further south and they basically said the same theing to me. Stay at the B+B's the prices are reasonable and you get to meet some very nice local people who can tell you what to see. It was six years ago for me but it was about it was $30 to $50 a person a night but there were nice places and the breakfast you get fills you up for the day. In the four weeks we were there I think we had lunch twice and that is because we wanted to try something. Otherwise you only ate breakfast and dinner. The North Antrim Coast out of Belfast is beautiful with the Giants Causeway and all the way west to Donegal. The Ring of Kerry out of Killarney is worth seeing. If you get to Teelim the cliffs are the hightest in Europe. Go have a great time!

  6. Nothing much in Sligo.Mountains and Yeats grave.Sligo Town has nothing but narrow traffic cloged Streets.Swing away to Galway.Go to Connamara..much nicer place.Donegal,Kerry.Visit our capital city Dublin and why not visit Belfast..did you know the Titanic was built here in the Harrold and Wolf shipyard.

  7. Yes its definitely worth a visit and if you are blessed with a nice fine day you can walk to Strandhill, its quite a long walk but well worth it, we stayed in a B&B for 30 euro pp/per night, Sligo town centre has a tourist information centre with all the info you need for places to visit nearby.

    Have a good visit

  8. Yes very beautiful, I have attached a link which will tell you hotels, b+b, attractions, pubs and if needed bus timetables.

But please go it is v nice.
