i made my first holy communion in 1969 at age 11 and had to wear the poofy dress,veil,lace anklets and white mary jane shoes.my mom had my outfit dry cleaned and put in a sealed box.you might try taking your dress to a dry cleaners that specialize in wedding gown presveration and see what they say.my mom also put the playtex toddler rubberpants that all the girls had to wear under our dresses in the box also.they have yellowed and cracked tho over the years.
