  1. Gaining a new passport would be best.

I heard that the BIA don't issue visas from old passports into a new one. People who get a new passport need to re-apply for the same visa, even if still valid in old passport.

  2. At the point of entry into the UK a Passport must be valid for a minimum of 6 months. The short answr is to get a new Passport and transfer any Visas from the old one.Their is no charge for this.

  3. Usually when it says you need 6 months on your passport, that means 6 months from the date you are due to return to the UK.

  4. He needs a minimum of 6 months validity on his passport from the date visa is issued

He should apply in sept last

  5. you need to apply now and follow through with the request/procedure that they give you to follow.
