.243 Rifle - What is the largest grain bullet available for this caliber?

I've seen 105 grain....anybody seen anything larger?

  1. 105 is as large as you'll find readily. There are some obsolete 6mm's that used heavier bullets, but nobody loads them any more, and if you had something like 120's custom made, they wouldn't stabilize in the typical barrels with twist rates in the vicinity of 1:9.

  3. No, I haven't seen anything bigger, in fact the higest I've personally seen on a shelf was 100.
