2002 Audi A6 4.2 L $11500 or an 2004-2006 Nissan Maxima, best bang for my dollar?

Well, I am 18 now and I want to purchase my own veichle..I want to either get a 2002-2003 Audi A6 4.2 or a 2004-2006 Nissan Maxima..Which car do you think I should get and why? What milage should I buy under, such as under 50,000 miles on it..I want this car I get to last atleast 6-8 years..I have $16,000 now and I want to spend $10-12k on a car, let me know what you think, serious inquieries only

They are both out of your 10-12k range, unless you are either willing to buy a very high mileage one, or an older one.  The 04 Maxima is close, but you will be very disappointed in the Nissan if you drive an Audi first.  Also the Audi will be more expensive to maintain, but will hold it's value better.  And then there's the insurance factor for an 18 year old kid.  Audi will probably be higher there.  But if you live in a snowy climate, there's really no comparison of the 2, the Quattro Audi will be way better.
