11 year old boy birthday party ideas?

We booked an animal/wildlife educator to come with some animals and would like to build the theme around him. Unfortunately, most animal, jungle, wildlife party themes are geared toward young children rather than preteens. Any suggestions?

Get Them some ingredients and write for them the name of the recipe you want them to make and have a cooking competition and the winner gets the prize
