Gender violence and more specifically, violence against women is something that dates back to antiquity. Throughout history and under the dominance of patriarchal government schemes they have been deprived of basic human rights. Only after several centuries women gained legal equality with men, have the right to study, work and vote. But these advances have not been made in all countries. There are still many places in which a woman is a terrible experience.
