Why won't my computer reconize my ipod?

my ipod has been plugged in for 15 minutes everything is ok and my computer wont reconize it everything is plugged in i checked! Help!!!!!

  1. 1. You installed iTunes and started it, right? I'm assuming you did.

    2. Make sure you are plugging the iPod into a USB2.0 port.


  2. Reset ur ipod by holdign down the play and center button and it should work if not ask apple Good luck
