The thing is that so many have given his 'real' (hence the air quotes) email, that he doesn't feel comfortable giving out his personal information (including his cell phone number or his email). Most people say that they got his email address personally from him, good for them. But some maybe lying. There's an interview with him talking about giving out his personal information.
