An age credentials check committee established for the PHF Junior Super League: Pakistan Hockey Federation
Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has created a scrutiny team, the age credentials check committee yesterday in Lahore.
This team has been formed in order to check the age credentials of the hockey players to play in the 3rd PHF Junior Super League for men that will be held from April 27, at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore.
The suspected players shall be asked to clear themselves through bone-density test in order to verify that their age qualifies to appear in the junior event. Moreover, the inspection team will also conduct a facial scrutiny procedure so that the over-aged
players are discouraged to appear in the upcoming league.
Asif Bajwa, Secretary of the PHF, said on Friday, “The committee comprises Rana Mujahid Ali as its conveyor, Khalid Bashir and Arshad Chaudhary (members) will carry out the scrutiny on April 26.”
More than eight junior hockey teams will be part of the league including the Under-18 teams from Quetta, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Multan and few other teams from the Pakistan Hockey Federation Academy (PHFA).
Moreover, the PHF has assured the smooth conduct of the event by appointing a panel of few technical officials for the purpose namely Rana Mujahid Ali as tournament director, who will be assisted by two deputies namely Zahid Afzal and Muhammad Akhlaque.
Rashid Mahmood Butt has been appointed as the Umpire's Manager along with Saeed Ahmed who will act as his assistant for the job.
Four tournament officers have been selected by the PHF namely Muhammad Shafique Bhatti, Hassan Askari, Qadeer Ahmed and Javaid Iqbal.

The judges appointed for the junior league are Haroon Saeed, Zaheer-ul-Haque, Arif Qayyum, Saeed Ahmed, Syed Faisal Shah, Rana Mohammad Afzal and Qaiser.
The umpires to officially conduct the matches throughout the event are Shahid Pervaiz, Mahmood, Atif Malik, Muneer Ahmed, Rana Muhammad Liaqat, Ghufran Ahmed, Naveed Ahmed, Kamran Hussain, Muhammad Mushtaq and Haider Rasool.
The junior men’s hockey event will be conducted from April 27 to May 8 in Lahore. One day prior to the matches, a pre-tournament meeting will be set for a briefing that the tournament director will deliver to the technical officials and team doctors followed
by a meeting with the teams' managers and captains.
Meanwhile, the All Pakistan Hockey Tournament got inaugurated yesterday at the Liaquat Ali Khan Shaheeed Stadium, Attock.
The opening match was held between Army and DHA Mardan in which Army ended up victorious. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Brigadier Aamer Mustafa Bajwa, who is the Commandant of Artillery Centre Attock, gave away the prizes to the winning team.
This tournament has reoccurred after a long gap of 11 years and has been organised by the DHA. The final match of the tournament will take place on April 29, on the same venue, according to the General Secretary DHA Attock Rana Naseeb Khan.
A total of 14 teams participated in the event namely Gojra, Army, Railways, PAF, DHA Sargodha, PTV, Wapda, DHA Mardan, Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Peshawar, Nowshera, Lahore and Navy.
