  1. A qualifications brief is superior to a resume because it concentrates more on a specific type of job and/or employer.  You begin by stating that type of job up front.  You then list qualifications that follow.

    Employers make one common mistake.  They think like in Hollywood that you're only as good as your last hit.  Hogwash.  If you picked up a skill at age 7 that still serves you at 37, go ahead and list it.  What you did is far more important than when you did it. A qualifications brief also makes it appear that you're ready to do it right now.

    A qualifications brief can make it look like you're complying with an employer's request for a resume without having to be dull and boring like most resumes are.
