Why do a lot of redheads have brown eyes even though there skin is really pale

Tons of redheads have brown eyes. I was wondering how this happens because usually light skin and hair go along with light eyes. But I see brown eyed redheads all the time. Its just as common for them to have brown as it is for them to have blue. Can you explain this? Thanks!

Red hair, pale skin, and light (blue or green) eyes are genetically LINKED.

This means that the genes are found close together on the same chromosome, and so are most commonly inherited together (though sometimes recombination events can mix things up).

Naturally, these three traits go together. So if you see a redhead with brown eyes, the chances are that they have dyed their hair. This is not 100%, but the vast majority of them SHOULD have blue or green eyes.
