  3. For humans to live on Jupiter there would only be one place even worth considering at this time, and that Jupiter’s moon Europa. Europa a moon of Jupiter, is a potential candidate for Terraforming. The one advantage to Europa is the presence of liquid water which could be extremely helpful for the introduction of any form of life. The many obstacles on the other hand are numerous. Europa is in the middle of a huge radiation belt around Jupiter, and a human would die from the radiation within ten minutes on the surface. This would require the building of massive radiation deflectors, which is currently impractical. Another problem is that, this satellite is covered in ice and would have to be heated, and there would need to be a supply of oxygen, which there is none of. Though it could, at sufficient energy cost, be manufactured in by electrolysis of the copious water available.
