  1. there are several models from various manufacturers that load thru the buttstock. Remington, browning, mossberg  etc all offer them. I'd need a lot better description to be able to help you on this one. Sorry.

    Shoot safe

  2. Almost all major rifle makers made a .22 model rifle like you describe.  The most futuristic looking one I can remember is the old Remington Nylon 66 made from '59 through '89.  Browning also made a great little .22 that loaded that way.  It was even a take-down model that could be stored in a gun case in two pieces.  Just ask around at the gun shops.  I'm sure you can find another one.

  3. I have a Mossberg .22 automatic that loads by unscrewing a plug from the buttstock and pulling back a long rod. The .22 shells are then loaded through a hole in the side of the stock, and you replace the rod, pushing the shells forward. It's a really old gun, and I don't know if they still make them.

There's one on Gunbroker that looks a lot like it.

  4. G'day mate i don't know how it works in America but the guy with the pown shop should he have on file what he sold?maybe he can tell you what type of gun it was .cheers mate

  5. Sorry Joey,

Lotsa old .22s had tube magazines in the but-stock.

Was it a pump or semi-auto?

  6. Marlin made one like that, its the only one I can think of right now, and I think Springfield Armory makes one like it too.  Good luck, check out gunsamerica.com, and see if what your'e looking for is on there.

  7. It could be a Remington nylon 66, I think it's called.
