WHAT DO YOU DO IF YOUR DOG IS <span title="CHOKING/WHEEZING??!?!?!?!?!?">CHOKING/WHEEZING??!?!?!?!...</span>

my shih-tzu is making these weird wheezing choking noises since 6 a.m. all morning, like he has a hair ball. we tried water, and that works for about 5 or 10 min. I NEED ANSWERS FAST!!!!

take him to the vet, my mother in laws dog did it, she didnt take him to the vet like she shouldve and they had to put him down

This is what I ask myself in these situations: if this was happening to me, what would I do?  That&#039;s right - I would go to a doctor.  So take your dog to the vet, and before it&#039;s too late.

Take him to the vet fast he could have something stuck in his throught.

Try gently pressing on his sides, just below the ribcage - if he is having spasms, that may interrupt the nerve impulses and stop it.

  If that has no effect after one quick try, get him to the vet right away - it may be a collapsing trachea, or something stuck in his windpipe, and he needs help fast.

Sometimes dogs can have esophageal spasms....is she old?  If you think something is loged in her throat...water may not be the best...is could get in her lungs.....trip to the vet should be top of your list of to do&#039;s today.

You can either reach down into his throat and pull it out or take him to the vet.
