  1. There has never been a better/easier straight stitcher ever. Some attachments require that the feed dogs are lowered and I suspect that is your problem. Remove thread from the needle and rotate the drive wheel toward you. Next to the needle hole in the chrome needle plate are two slots. The feed dogs should protrude up above the needle plate as you rotate the drive wheel. If they don't rise above the plate, then the feed dogs are lowered. Flip the machine over to expose the underside and on the left (needle side) locate a large s***w w serrated grip edge. Loosen it and the bar that it's screwed to has one other hole, move the bar so the other hole lines up and tighten s***w to new position. You should see the feed dogs "walk" above the needle plate now and fabric should sew straight.
