Paul Ince appointed Notts County manager
Paul Ince has been confirmed as the new manager of Notts County.
The League One side sacked Craig Short and his assistant Dave Kevan last week, and have turned to Ince to take over.
Ince resigned as MK Dons manager in May, and the former Blackburn and Macclesfield boss is now the sixth manager to lead Notts County in just over a year.
A statement from the club’s official website read: “Notts County Football Club are delighted to announce that Paul Ince has been appointed the club's new first team manager, having signed a three-year, eight-month deal at Meadow Lane.”
Notts County chairman Ray Trew said: “Paul has a wealth of experience as a player and a solid track record as a manager in the Football League, making him the obvious choice for me when we began our search for a new manager.
“There were a number of high calibre applications for the position and it was encouraging to see just how attractive a proposition managing Notts County remains to some very prestigious names in the world of football management,” he added.
