Opening checking account at Bank of America?

Hello, I am 18 and plan on opening a checking account at BoA. My question is, the minimum is $100 to open one there, correct? Thank you. If you have any information that you think I should know, please let me know.

there is a 25$ minimum for basic

for preferred I believe it is 100$

but this is in MA

it might vary by state

You should always call the bank and ask them these kinds of questions.  I'm sure you could even check their website for this information as well.  More than likely, they have different minimum deposits for the various types of checking accounts they have and it may even depend on which state you are located in as well.

its usually $25, but it can depend on area....although i honestly DO NOT recommend b of a.....they mess up my account ALL the time...

It varies by state.  In Maryland, the open account at bank with only $50.

Online may require $100.

After the account is open, there is no minimum balance.
